Catchment Model Incursion (3-6)-Perth Metro

- Duration: 1 Hours (approx.)
Suitable For Years 3-6
Step into the world of waterways and discover the hidden story of our rivers! Using our dynamic, three-dimensional, hands-on catchment model, students will explore how land use shapes the health of our waterways. Watch as pollutants travel through the landscape and learn how they find their way into rivers, impacting the plants and animals that depend on these ecosystems for survival.
Through interactive demonstrations, students will uncover the real-life consequences of human activity on aquatic environments and discuss different management strategies to reduce pollution. Finally, they’ll come together to brainstorm practical actions they can take—both individually and as a community—to protect and preserve the rivers that sustain life.
