An Introduction to Western Shield (Please note: Choose any time to be taken to the booking page. You can
choose your exact desired time in the booking form)

The Gilbert’s Potoroo, Numbat or Woylie may not be household names, but they are among the most threatened mammals on our planet. Students will explore the features of our native fauna and examine why they are under threat. They will then look at how Western Shield is bringing them back from the brink of extinction and use some of the tools scientists use to monitor fauna populations; including cage traps, hair tubes and measuring equipment.

Excursion duration is 1 hr.

COST: One class (up to 30 students) is $200. Second class, $100 per class (within 50km of Bunbury CBD, please contact us for pricing elsewhere).

Please note:

  1. Maximum students per group is 30. Multiple groups can be accommodated.
  2. Our booking officer will get back to you via email to confirm your incursion within 5 working days.
