Creating a Haven for Native Bees @ Wellington Discovery Forest

Join Nearer to Nature and Dr Kit Prendergast, native bee ecologist and conservation biologist, to learn all about native bees of Australia and how we can help our local species thrive in their natural environment.
Dr Kit Prendergast is a passionate conservation biologist with a PhD in native bees in urban habitat fragments in the SW.

During the workshop, Dr Kit will educate us about the wonderful lives of SW native bees, the important roles they play in our natural environment and how we can attract them into our gardens (what to plant and different bee hotel designs). Following her talk, you will have the opportunity to ask Dr Kit all the questions about bees that may be buzzing in your mind and the option of building a bee hotel to take home (additional cost to cover materials).
