Nearer to Nature are teaming up with the Harvey Aboriginal Corporation to offer a cultural experience for all the family. Noongar elders from local communities will share language, lore and stories followed by a walk in the surrounding forest to learn about bush tucker and traditional medicines. Other activities may include singing and dancing for the young and young at heart, and some toolmaking activities. The exact program on the day will reflect the individual knowledge and experiences of each day’s presenter.

Afterwards, come inside the centre to view our large taxidermy display
and explore the weird and wonderful collection of artefacts collected from the
forest, many of them displayed on the hands-on 'touch-table'.

• All children must be accompanied by an adult and be under their responsibility during the event.
