Life on the Reef: Meet the scientists (12-17yrs)

Get ready for an unforgettable day on the reef and at the Indian Ocean Marine Research Centre! Join us for some hands-on science, find the hidden species of the Waterman’s Reef as we explore and discover the fascinating creatures that call it home. Meet the incredible scientists and rangers working to protect our oceans and get an exclusive look behind the scenes at this amazing facility. Situated within the Marmion Marine Park, you are sure to find creatures you have never seen before on this reef! From tiny crabs to sea stars, who knows what we will find? Keep your eyes peeled - we might even spot one of our marine rangers in action on the beach! Don't miss this chance to learn, explore and have fun!' 

Please wear clothing and closed in shoes (like reef shoes) that can get wet and a change of clothes and closed in shoes for when we visit the IOMRC. 

This is a DROP OFF and leave activity suitable for children 12-17yrs years of age. Tickets must be purchased for participating children only. The ages for each activity are in place for your children to get the most out of their activity and due to safety and management on a drop-off activity we cannot allow older or younger children to participate. We appreciate your understanding in booking only children who are
age appropriate into activities.  

Please note that our activities are carried out with recommendations and advice from the WA government to ensure the health and safety of our participants, staff and volunteers.    

Please do not attend if any of your family members are unwell and displaying possible COVID -19 symptoms. If any of the attending members arrive with a cough, runny nose or fever, Nearer to Nature has the right to ask that you not participate in the
activity.
