Frog Forage: Meet the Scientist (Families 8+yrs)

The search is on, join Nearer to Nature and expert frog scientist from the Western Australian Museum, for an educational night-time exploration of local frog habitats. Pull on your gumboots and head out to the Canning River Eco Education Centre as we investigate wetland ecosystems after dark. You’ll learn how to identify native frog species, recognise their distinctive calls, and understand the vital role they play in maintaining healthy environments. In this guided walk, participants will use their observation and listening skills to explore nocturnal wildlife, building knowledge of biodiversity and the importance of conserving these unique amphibians.
Please note this experience is for the whole family but children must be ages 8+years to participate. Tickets must be purchased for all attending participants. The ages for each activity are in place for all participants to get the most out of their activity. In most cases, these age limits are in place due to activity content, recommendations by outside providers or for safety reasons. We appreciate your understanding in booking only children who are age appropriate into activities.
