Perth’s parks are full of amazing birds—from local favourites to visiting migrants! Grab your binoculars and explore the amazing birdlife of your local environment. This self-guided walk introduces students to a variety of local and migratory birds using real surveying techniques. With a class set of binoculars and easy-to-use ID sheets, students will learn to spot, identify, and appreciate the birds that call Western Australia home.

Venues:

  • Canning River Eco Education Centre, Wilson
  • Neil Hawkins Park, Lake Joondalup
  • Perth Hills Discovery Centre, Mundaring 
  • Point Walter, Bicton

Duration: approx. 1 hour and can be booked from 9:30am to 2:30pm.  

COST: $30.00 set fee per class, inclusive of 1 x class set hire of bird identification charts and binoculars

  2. Maximum students per group is 30. Multiple groups can be accommodated.
