Night-Time Forest Discovery – A Self-Guided Adventure!


Step into the Jarrah Forest after dark and uncover its hidden secrets! Follow a trail marked with reflective signs and use your torch to explore different forest zones. You might spot possums, hear frogs, or catch a glimpse of other nocturnal creatures. This self-guided experience lets you explore at your own pace, making discoveries along the way.

Equipment is available for collection before 4pm, and staying nearby or camping at Perth Hills Discovery Centre is recommended for easy access.

Venue: Perth Hills Discovery Centre, Mundaring

Duration is approx.1 hr. As it is self-guided, teachers will be able to use the equipment overnight at PHDC. Start and finish times can be adjusted to your needs.

COST: $30 per night hire fee per class. Includes torches (and blue lights), teacher guidebook, map and student ID booklets.

  1. Maximum students per group is 30. Multiple groups can be accommodated.
