Discover the forest at night

Experience the forest in darkness and chance an encounter with some of our amazing creatures of the night.  What secrets will you discover as you explore the forest by torchlight? Trail is marked with reflective markers and takes you through different sections of the Jarrah forest. It is recommended you stay nearby or camp at Perth Hills Discovery Centre for ease of equipment collection. Equipment can be collected before 4pm.

Duration is approx.1 hr. As it is self-guided, teachers will be able to use the equipment overnight at PHDC. Start and finish times can be adjusted to your needs.

COST: $30 per night hire fee per class. Includes torches (and blue lights), teacher guidebook, map and student ID booklets.

  1. Maximum students per group is 30. Multiple groups can be accommodated.
