Bush Survival Skills @ WDF with Survive It SW!

Join the Nearer to Nature SW Team and our local survival expert from Survive It SW! and learn some very important bush survival skills. Spud has over 20 years experience in search and rescue and spent his youth as a Cub Scout in the south west bush. He will lead you through the bush and teach you important survival tips such as which plants are poisonous, how to collect and filter water and how to signal for help. You will learn what materials are best for starting a fire to stay warm and what equipment is important to keep on you for emergency situations.

This experience is for children 8+ years and their participating adults. All participants require a ticket. It is a 4 hour activity with a lunch break included.

Bring your own lunch, water bottle and snacks in a back pack. Wear long pants, long sleeves and enclosed shoes. Dress appropriately for the weather – hat, sunscreen or jumper and raincoat.
