Busy in the Forest @ RAC Nature Park Margaret River - Home School Activity

Come join the Nearer to Nature South West team at the RAC Margaret River Nature Park for a 4-hour session exploring the surrounding forest of Wooditjup National Park. Students will develop their observation and identification skills as they are introduced to the concept of forest treasures such as plants, air, water and soil by taking part in a “treasure trail”. They will learn about the many plants and animals that inhabit the forest and develop an awareness of the importance of conservation both for the forest community and ourselves. Students will also take part in a blindfolded sensory walk trail which reinforces the theme of utilising our senses to explore the treasures of the forest.

The day’s activities include:

  • An introduction to the treasures of the forest
  • A guided walk on the Treasure Trail
  • An exploration of senses on the Sense-ational Trail

After booking you will be emailed a 'Busy in the Bushland’ Pack for pre and post visit activities.
