Animals in our bushland can be really sneaky — some come out at night, and others hide so well we hardly ever see them! Scientists use a range of specialised tools and techniques to detect and study these hidden creatures, helping us better understand local wildlife and protect their habitats. Join us at the Perth Hills Discovery Centre for a fun, hands‑on adventure where you’ll get to try out some of these real wildlife‑monitoring techniques for yourself. We’ll put our new skills to the test by joining a citizen science activity and seeing what amazing things we can discover in the forest.  Children must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Please note this IS NOT a drop and leave activity.

This activity is suitable for children 7-12 years of age. Tickets must be purchased for participating children only. The ages for each activity are in place for your children to get the most out of their activity. In most cases, these age limits are in place due to activity content, recommendations by outside providers or for safety reasons. We appreciate your understanding in booking only children who are age appropriate into activities.

Please note that our activities are carried out with recommendations and advice from the WA government to ensure the health and safety of our participants, staff and volunteers.
