Join Nearer to Nature and native bee expert Dr Kit Prendergast for Little Bee Explorers, a fun and hands-on adventure designed especially for curious young learners! Enjoy
a reading of Dr Kit’s newest book – Amy is an Amegilla – exploring the wonderful world of native bees, learning what they look like, how they live, and what they do in spring, before buzzing into action. Then get busy with bee movements and imaginative play and explore the bush on a gentle walk to find bee-friendly plants and native bees, and finish by creating seed bombs to help support bees at home. 

This activity is suitable for children 3-6 years of age. Tickets must be purchased for participating children only. The ages for each activity are in place for your children to get the most out of their activity. In most cases, these age limits are in place due to activity content, recommendations by outside providers or for safety reasons. We appreciate your understanding in booking only children who are age appropriate into activities.  

Terms and Conditions:

• Siblings under the age of 3 free.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult and be under their responsibility during the event.
• Minimum number of participants required. Event organizers have the right to cancel the event if minimum numbers are not reached. The decision to cancel the event is made 1-2 days before the commencement of the event and notice will be given to participants via email or phone contact. A full refund will be provided. 
• Event may be cancelled if weather is looking particularly wet. Notice will be given to participants via email or phone contact. A full refund will be provided. 
• A full refund will be provided for any cancellations more than 48 hours before the start time of the activity.
